How to Squirt: A Step-by-Step Guide for Women (With Video Tutorial)

vaginal orgasm

Our salon LIPS mainly focuses on helping women achieve a Vaginal Orgasm.

Because of that, most women who apply to visit us mention reasons such as:
  • I want to experience a Vaginal Orgasm.
  • I want to understand what internal pleasure feels like.
  • I don’t understand the difference between squirting and Vaginal Orgasm.
  • I want to relieve my sexual frustration.

Of course, as you can see in the fourth example, some women also apply simply out of curiosity or to relieve sexual frustration.

However, recently we’ve started receiving a slightly unusual request.

That request is:

I want to learn how to squirt!

Interestingly, there are actually many women who have the opposite problem—squirting happens unintentionally and becomes a concern.

For example:

I want to reach a Vaginal Orgasm, but I end up squirting instead…

For women who come to LIPS specifically to learn how to achieve a Vaginal Orgasm, this situation can feel like wanting something they don’t have.

That said, I believe there are actually many women who secretly wish they could squirt.

For women who have that desire—or curiosity—this page will explain:

How to make it easier for women to squirt and a simple 3-step method to learn squirting.

Through my work at LIPS, I have helped more than 500 women develop their erogenous zones, enabling them to experience both Vaginal Orgasm and squirting.

In this article, I (h-i, founder of LIPS) will openly share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained.

However, there is one important point to understand first:

A woman’s ability to squirt can depend partly on her natural physiology.1

In other words:
  • Some women can learn to squirt quickly.
  • Some women require development and practice.
  • Some women may naturally find it difficult to squirt.

Please keep this in mind while reading and treat this guide as a reference rather than a guarantee.

Preparation: How to Make Squirting Easier

From my experience helping over 500 women achieve Vaginal Orgasm and develop their erogenous zones, women who can squirt often share several common characteristics.

For example:

Many women who squirt already understand that they are capable of squirting.

Because they recognize it as squirting rather than urination, they tend to release it with a relaxed and open mindset.

Another tendency I’ve noticed (interestingly enough) is that women with a slightly submissive or playful personality often find it easier to squirt.

Based on these observations, I will explain:
  • The mindset you should have
  • The physical preparation that can help

before moving on to the actual method.

Drink Fluids That Promote Urination

Research by experts has suggested that while squirting is not the same as urine, its main component is urine.

More precisely, it is believed to be urine mixed with a small amount of fluid from the Skene’s glands (often called the female prostate).2

Compared with urine, the fluid tends to be more watery and dries more quickly.

Women who already have experience squirting often say something like:

h-i
h-i

Where was all that liquid stored?!

Even without consciously hydrating, some women can release a surprisingly large amount of fluid.

However, since most of the fluid originates from the bladder, the following psychological association may help:

Hydration → Increased urination → Higher likelihood of squirting

Drinking beverages with a mild diuretic effect may also help.

For example:
  • Jasmine tea
  • Herbal blended teas (like barley or botanical tea blends)

Both are affordable and easy to find at convenience stores.

Knowing that the drink has a diuretic effect can also create a placebo effect, which may increase the likelihood of squirting.

Tell Yourself “It’s Okay to Let It Out”

Especially during the first squirting experience, some women hold back even when their body is ready.

What if I pee?

This is embarrassing…

This psychological inhibition can prevent squirting even when the body is fully prepared.

h-i
h-i

Letting go of embarrassment can dramatically increase the chances of squirting.

Women who enjoy a bit of embarrassment mixed with excitement often find it easier to turn that feeling into arousal.

Try to transform the feeling of embarrassment into excitement, and allow yourself to completely let go.

Don’t Focus Too Much on the Urge to Urinate

Depending on a woman’s physiology, some women who squirt heavily later say things like:

I didn’t even realize I was squirting.

I didn’t expect that much fluid…

h-i
h-i

These reactions often indicate that they weren’t focusing on the urge to urinate.

In other words, if you focus too much on the sensation of needing to pee:
  • It becomes harder to concentrate
  • You may instinctively try to hold it in
  • You move away from the idea of releasing freely

Instead, try shifting your mindset away from “holding it” and toward the idea of:

“Let it release freely.”

Step-by-Step Method to Learn How to Squirt

Although our salon LIPS has published many articles about self-training methods for achieving a Vaginal Orgasm, this is actually the first article specifically focused on how women can learn to squirt.

h-i
h-i

I honestly struggled with how to explain this in a way that would be easy to understand.

After thinking about it carefully, I realized something.

The easiest way to explain squirting is simply to describe what I personally pay attention to when helping women squirt during sessions at LIPS.

By explaining those points step by step, the process became surprisingly simple.

In fact, it can be summarized in just three steps.

I will explain each step clearly below with visual references.

Feel free to use this as a guide.

Step 1: Identify the G-Spot Inside the Vagina

The key area involved in squirting is what is commonly known as the G-spot.

To explain this more clearly, refer to the diagram below.

The red circled area touched by the index and middle fingers in the illustration is the area you should recognize as the squirting spot.

h-i
h-i

In this step, the goal is simply to understand the location.

There are individual differences, but a simple way to confirm the correct spot is this:

If pressing the area creates a sensation similar to the urge to urinate, you are likely stimulating the correct location.

Step 2: Stimulate the Area Toward the Belly Button

Next, stimulate the spot identified in Step 1 in the direction shown by the white arrow in the diagram.

At this stage, using only your fingers can be somewhat difficult.

h-i
h-i

If you can squirt using finger stimulation alone, you’re already at a very advanced level.

For most women, stimulation becomes much easier with the help of a vibrator or dildo.

If you own one, try using it to stimulate the G-spot.

In many cases, the stronger the pleasure sensation becomes, the easier it is to squirt.

As stimulation continues and arousal increases, you may start to notice a swelling sensation in the area indicated by the white dotted line in the diagram.

The dotted line represents the approximate swelling zone.

To make the explanation clearer, the illustration shows a slightly larger area, but in reality the size varies depending on the person.

h-i
h-i

Some women begin to feel the urge to urinate at this stage once they can sense the swelling.

When stimulating the area, try focusing on a motion that presses and rubs the swollen area with slightly stronger intensity.

If you feel the urge to urinate, it is okay to let it release.

Even if you don’t feel the urge yet, if you’ve reached this stage, you are very close to squirting.

In fact, this step is usually the most time-consuming part, especially when developing sensitivity.

Do not expect results in just one or two days.
Instead, approach this practice with a long-term mindset of about 3 to 6 months.

Step 3: Focus on Increasing Pleasure

Some women may already start squirting during Step 2, but to experience squirting in a more free and pleasurable way, it is helpful to focus on the feeling of fully releasing pleasure.

Below is a video of a monitor participant who successfully learned to self-squirt using only finger stimulation by following these steps.

Try watching closely while paying attention to:
  • Finger movement
  • Wrist motion
  • Rhythm of stimulation

These details can serve as helpful references.

Reaching this level of control is ideal, but in reality very few women develop this ability to such an extent.

Please treat the monitor participant as one example rather than a standard expectation.

Women often describe the moment of squirting with comments such as:

The pleasure went beyond my limit and I suddenly squirted.

It felt so good that I didn’t realize the sheets were completely soaked.

It was the ultimate feeling of release.

These comments suggest that an important element is the mental release that comes after letting go of the urge to hold back.

The amount of fluid released often tends to increase in proportion to:
  • The physical urge to urinate that was being held back
  • The psychological embarrassment that was being suppressed

Tips to Make Squirting Training More Effective

Now that we have explained the basic method for learning how to squirt, here are several important points that can make your squirting training more efficient.

These points are also very important for increasing sexual pleasure and sensitivity.

If possible, try incorporating them into your practice.

Increase Sensitivity of the Internal Vaginal Pleasure Zones

From my experience, most women who are able to squirt tend to have high sensitivity in their internal vaginal pleasure zones, especially the G-spot.

Even if they cannot yet achieve a Vaginal Orgasm, their G-spot sensitivity is usually well developed.

As you may have noticed in the earlier video example, the monitor participant was able to squirt and reach a Vaginal Orgasm using only finger stimulation, which indicates very high internal sensitivity.

Some international studies suggest that women who experience strong pleasure from vaginal stimulation may have more developed urethral sponge tissue and Skene’s glands.3

Because of this development, it may become easier to squirt.

Therefore, if you want to squirt in a more pleasurable and liberated way, it can be very helpful to increase the sensitivity of your vaginal pleasure zones.

h-i
h-i

Developing internal vaginal pleasure zones can also help you achieve a Vaginal Orgasm.

For that reason, while practicing the three squirting steps described earlier, it is recommended to simultaneously work on developing your vaginal pleasure zones.

For detailed instructions on how to train the G-spot yourself, please refer to the related article below.

Prepare a Vibrator or Dildo

If you want to make it easier for your body to learn how to squirt, stimulating the G-spot inside the vagina is essential.

When you are not yet used to doing this with your fingers, using a sex toy can make the process much more efficient.

Among different types of toys, vibrators and dildos are especially suitable for G-spot stimulation.

For vibrators, we recommend a type that can stimulate both the clitoris and the inside of the vagina at the same time, like the following example.

Source: LOVENSE

Dildos do not produce vibration, so they may be slightly less effective for developing vaginal sensitivity, but they are very useful for locating and stimulating the squirting spot.

Recently, there are also dildos that include vibration functions.

These types can be even more suitable for squirting practice.

For example, the product Gravity below includes a vibration feature.

You can use it either as a regular dildo without vibration or activate the vibration function to use it more like a vibrator.

4 Important Precautions When Learning How to Squirt

Even women who are naturally able to squirt may have days when they cannot squirt due to physical condition or hormonal balance.

Therefore, when practicing the steps described earlier, do not push yourself too hard.

As mentioned in Step 2, learning how to squirt is not something that usually happens within one or two days.

With that in mind, here are four important precautions you should understand before starting squirting training.

Protect Your Bedsheets

When squirting for the first time, you may not realize when the squirting actually happens.

You might suddenly notice that the bedsheets are completely soaked.

Even experienced women sometimes experience “orgasmic squirting,” where they squirt at the same time as a Vaginal Orgasm.

In such cases, it can be difficult to predict the exact timing.

For women living with roommates or family members, this can sometimes become an embarrassing situation despite the excitement of successfully squirting.

For this reason, protecting your sheets is important.

Some women who squirt easily use waterproof sheets designed to protect beds from liquids such as squirting or lubricant.

Source: NLS

When unfolded, this sheet measures 200 cm × 230 cm, but it can also be folded compactly like an eco-bag, making it easy to store or carry.

Because it is made from durable waterproof vinyl material, it can effectively prevent liquids such as squirting fluid or lubricant from soaking through.

It is available from NLS for 3,300 yen (tax included).

Stop Immediately If Bleeding Occurs

During Step 2, the stimulation can become more intense, which naturally places more pressure on the inside of the vagina.

If the stimulation feels pleasurable, that is fine.

However, if you become overly focused on trying to squirt, you might continue stimulating too aggressively.

This could lead to a situation where you suddenly realize that instead of squirting, there is bleeding.

Please be careful to avoid that situation.

h-i
h-i

I have also heard cases where inexperienced partners caused bleeding while attempting similar stimulation.

If bleeding occurs, stop immediately and avoid internal vaginal stimulation for a while until recovery.

When stimulating the vagina, avoid randomly pushing or rubbing areas that are not the correct spot.

You May Become Prone to Squirting

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, some women actually develop a habit of squirting easily, which can even become a concern for them.

h-i
h-i

In some cases, it becomes a different kind of problem.

During sex, some women develop a pattern of squirting at the same time as a Vaginal Orgasm, which can become difficult to control once it becomes habitual.

Understand That Individual Differences Exist

As explained earlier, squirting ability varies greatly depending on individual body characteristics.

Some women can learn to squirt relatively quickly, while others may need longer development and practice, and some may naturally find it more difficult.

If you practice consistently for six months to a year and still find it difficult, consider taking a break for a while and observing how your body responds.

h-i
h-i

Sometimes body sensitivity changes over the years, and squirting may become easier later in life.

Life is long, so try to approach squirting training with a mindset of enjoying the process rather than rushing the result.

Summary

The female body has a wide variety of natural differences.

Some women squirt easily, while others may find it more difficult.

However, regardless of body type, understanding the mechanism and techniques behind squirting can help improve overall sexual sensitivity and pleasure.

That is the reason I supervised and wrote this article.

If you are reading this because you want to become able to squirt more easily, I encourage you not to focus only on squirting itself.

Instead, explore the other LIPS experience stories and educational articles introduced on this page as well.

Expanding your understanding of sexual pleasure can ultimately help you increase your sensitivity and enjoy sex more deeply.

Notes

1・Based on a research paper by researchers affiliated with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, and Motol University Hospital in the Czech Republic.

The study reported that approximately 54% to 66% of women had experienced squirting either through G-spot stimulation or during vaginal penetration.

2・Based on research data published in 2022 by Okayama Central Hospital in Japan.

Using imaging techniques to visualize the movement of fluid inside the body during squirting, the study found that the primary component of squirting fluid is urine, although it may also contain secretions from the Skene’s glands (female prostate).

This research was also published in the official journal of the Japanese Urological Association, the International Journal of Urology.

3・Based on a publication by internationally recognized researchers in the fields of sexology and sexual dysfunction from the Department of Experimental Medicine at the University of L’Aquila (Italy).

The study suggests that women with more developed urethral sponge tissue and Skene’s glands tend to be more sensitive to pleasurable sensations inside the vagina.
